About the Role

The Technical Specialist – Training provides advanced technical expertise while leading training, coaching, and knowledge transfer across the organisation. The role translates complex technical issues into structured training, guidance, and best‑practice documentation, working closely with Learning & Competency, HR, and cross‑functional teams to strengthen front‑line capability and reduce repeat issues. The position involves designing and delivering technical training programmes, including new product and system updates, and providing coaching and mentoring to technicians, front‑line support teams, and customers. It also requires supporting first‑line escalations, acting as a liaison between the factory, product masters, and sales areas, and capturing field feedback to improve training materials and documentation. • Provide advanced technical guidance and lead training sessions • Design and deliver technical training programmes on new products and system updates • Coach and mentor technicians, front‑line support teams, and customers • Support first‑line escalations with knowledge transfer and issue prevention • Act as liaison between factory, product masters, and sales to ensure consistent technical knowledge • Incorporate field feedback into training materials and documentation • Collaborate with Learning & Competency, HR, and cross‑functional teams to align training with workforce needs

What You Bring

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail‑oriented, and passionate about managing training programmes, maintaining compliance, and supporting employee development. Candidates must hold a two‑year technical degree or diploma in a mechanical discipline such as heavy‑equipment or electrician training, and possess at least five years of relevant technical experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to produce detailed site visit reports, and proficiency in computer applications are required; bilingualism in French and English is an asset. • Hold a 2‑year technical degree/diploma in a mechanical discipline (e.g., heavy‑equipment, electrician) • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience • Experience training in technical or operator trades • Excellent written and verbal communication, including detailed site reports • Bilingual French/English considered an asset • Ability to train and transfer knowledge effectively • Self‑motivated, flexible, customer‑focused with strong investigation and diagnostic skills • Proficient with computers and knowledgeable of the customer’s industry • Willingness to travel as required
