About the Role

The manager will lead the SSO AR‑GL team, engage stakeholders to understand needs, and deliver high‑quality service. Record‑to‑Report duties encompass overseeing general ledger activities such as auditing and posting journal entries, cash receipts, and applications, reviewing Blackline automated entries, coordinating cash management with Treasury, and maintaining the monthly close schedule. The manager will manage accounts‑receivable reporting distribution lists, monitor team recovery hours, and deliver financial analysis to profit centers, identifying and resolving accounting posting issues. • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the SSO AR‑GL team, ensuring accurate postings and timely month‑end close. • Lead, coach, and mentor a high‑performing, inclusive team environment. • Serve as SME and primary contact for assigned workstreams, prioritizing urgent stakeholder requests. • Design and implement standardized, automated processes to meet SLAs and improve efficiency. • Develop dashboards and track key metrics to provide visibility to leadership and stakeholders. • Analyze stakeholder feedback to identify gaps and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Oversee general ledger activities, journal entry review, cash applications, and coordinate with Treasury. • Maintain the monthly close schedule and manage accounts‑receivable reporting distribution lists. • Conduct financial analysis for profit centers and resolve accounting posting issues. • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while mitigating risks. • Apply project‑management and continuous‑improvement methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) to drive process enhancements. • Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and data‑analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and automation.

The manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Shared Services Organization’s Accounts Receivable and General Ledger workstreams, ensuring accurate postings, compliance, timely month‑end close, and effective reporting. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, eight or more years of experience, and at least four to five years of leadership experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills, deep knowledge of GAAP and internal controls, and the ability to think strategically while balancing short‑term priorities. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday), advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and familiarity with continuous‑improvement and project‑management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) are essential. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required. The role involves limited travel and standard physical demands for an office environment.
