About the Role

As the technical expert in the Power Electronics Department, you will create and maintain power electronics products and systems, develop compliance procedures, interpret design specifications, and ensure circuitry meets documented hardware requirements. You will also prepare release documentation, participate in preliminary design and system architecture, and evaluate cost impacts of modifications. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, system analyses for new applications or major modifications, collaborating with engineers, designers, and technicians, forecasting work activities, defining repetitive‑task processes, and leading troubleshooting for field and factory issues. • Design, test, and sustain Variable Speed Drives for chiller applications. • Develop compliance procedures and electrical circuitry to meet hardware specifications. • Prepare and release documentation supporting component design and manufacturing. • Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑impact analyses, and system architecture design. • Lead troubleshooting for field and factory power‑electronics issues. • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers, designers, and technicians. • Forecast, schedule, and define processes for repetitive tasks.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Electronics focus and at least seven years of industry experience; a Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates must have strong expertise in power electronics controls, IGBT‑based inverters, and advanced tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, OPAL‑RT, and Saber. • Hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics) with 7+ years experience; Ph.D. preferred. • Demonstrate strong experience with IGBT‑based inverters and power‑electronics controls. • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, OPAL‑RT, and Saber simulation tools.
