Custodian Part Time

About the Role

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services, adhering to the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures. Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, and performing periodic high‑dusting. Additional tasks involve cleaning windowsills, interior glass, doors, and specified windows, washing interior walls as needed, maintaining bathrooms by cleaning and restocking supplies, monitoring defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights, collecting and disposing of building trash, replacing liners, and removing snow from steps and walkways when required. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces • Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas • Clean windowsills, interior glass, doors, and specified windows • Wash interior walls when appropriate • Maintain and restock bathrooms daily • Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or broken lights • Collect building trash and replace waste basket liners • Remove snow from steps and walkways as needed • Perform periodic high‑dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing • Use cleaning equipment including a backpack‑style portable vacuum

What You Bring

No prior cleaning experience is required, but candidates must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. Benefits

Compensation for this part‑time position is $14.00 per hour.
