About the Role
The construction inspector will serve under the resident engineer, track daily contractor activities, ensure compliance with plans, submit daily logs, guide equipment start‑up, inspect safety controls, and coordinate with contractors, owners and the public. • Serve as construction inspector on water/wastewater projects under the resident engineer. • Track and inspect daily contractor activities, measuring completed work for payment. • Identify non‑compliance with project plans or specifications and report issues. • Submit daily diaries or inspection logs detailing activities, labor, and equipment. • Provide guidance and coordination during equipment start‑up of treatment and pumping station facilities. • Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance. • Coordinate with contractors, owners, and the public to facilitate construction operations.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least five years of experience inspecting water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs. The salary range for this role is $60,000‑$70,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
