About the Role
The OEM Interface Engineer – Substations, based in Sydney, will manage post‑award procurement processes, including design approvals, manufacturing tracking, FAT inspections, shipping clearance, and logistics coordination. This role ensures seamless interaction between OEM manufacturers, clients, and subcontractors while maintaining contractual, safety, and schedule compliance. It is critical for integrating high‑voltage equipment and control systems into the substation infrastructure. • Act as primary technical liaison between OEMs, internal engineering, quality, logistics, and construction teams. • Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents to ensure stakeholder alignment. • Coordinate with subcontractors and OEMs to resolve interface issues and minimize project delays. • Review and track OEM program progress, contract compliance, Tier 1 standards, and regulatory requirements. • Ensure integration of OEM equipment with substation HV systems, protection, control, SCADA, and communications. • Maintain accurate records of technical discussions, approvals, and related documentation. • Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and escalation notes for leadership and client review. • Archive all OEM documentation for audits and handover.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. • Bring 5+ years of substation engineering or power systems project experience. • Demonstrate proven experience managing OEM interfaces on large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Possess expertise with high‑voltage equipment such as transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, and protection systems. • Know SCADA, control systems, and communication protocols. • Prefer Tier 1 contractor experience, especially in post‑procurement processes.
