Safety is the most important part of every job at Nucor; employees must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Candidates will work outdoors and must be comfortable with noisy, dusty, hot or cold conditions while handling reinforcing steel bars. A Rebar Production Worker bends, cuts, bundles and loads reinforcing steel bars according to customer orders, learning safely under the guidance of a mentor who trains on all machinery. Prior experience in construction, landscaping or other trades is valuable and can lead to advancement opportunities within the organization. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must pass a drug test, including THC, as the role is safety‑sensitive. • Must be able to work overtime when required. • Must be able to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions. • Must be able to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements. • Must be able to work in noisy, dusty, hot or cold outdoor conditions. • Must be able to lift heavy objects as needed.

Compensation for this position ranges from $15.90 to $22.38 hourly, with a weekly production bonus and a 5‑year average profit‑sharing rate of 20.17 %.
