Quest Global
Solving the world’s hardest engineering challenges through end‑to‑end solutions across industries.
Validation and Verification Engineer
Test and validate locomotive subsystems using HITL, LabVIEW simulators, and analysis tools.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role focuses on software testing of locomotive sub‑systems using a Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) setup. Candidates must be experienced with LabVIEW‑based simulators and virtual emulators, and be able to analyze validation data, identify defects and perform root‑cause analysis. They should also create test‑case designs, develop test methodologies, and suggest improvements that enhance usability, functionality and performance. • Conduct software testing of locomotive sub‑systems using Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) techniques. • Develop and run simulations with LabVIEW models and virtual emulators. • Perform validation data analysis, defect identification, and root‑cause analysis. • Design test cases and define test methodologies. • Utilize IBM DOORS and ClearQuest for requirements management and defect tracking. • Propose testing improvements to enhance usability, functionality, and performance. • Apply knowledge of multiple SDLC phases to testing activities.
