About the Role

A Field Service Engineer will play a vital field‑based role, traveling to customer sites onshore and offshore across the APAC region. You will provide specialist installation and maintenance support while performing hands‑on work individually and as part of a Field Service team. This position involves both planned and unscheduled activities to keep equipment running efficiently. • Ensure all in‑field activities are performed safely and comply with quality, customer, and company HSE standards and procedures. • Inspect, check, and test control and electrical systems on Baker Hughes equipment during installation and maintenance. • Identify issues, conduct fault‑finding, and solve problems to keep work progressing smoothly and on schedule. • Participate in installation, commissioning, and start‑up of turbomachinery, including planned maintenance outages and unscheduled events. • Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and the environment, actively contributing to an interdependent HSE culture. • Apply strong analytical, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

What You Bring

Our flexible approach ensures you can deliver high‑quality service while maintaining personal balance. • Possess at least five years' experience with machinery control systems in oil & gas, power generation, or aviation sectors. • Have hands‑on expertise with the Mark VIe or Mark Vies control‑system families. • Demonstrate extensive troubleshooting, maintenance, start‑up, and commissioning experience on gas turbines, compressors, gas‑turbine generators, and auxiliary systems. • Be willing and able to travel throughout Australia and internationally, spending up to 70‑80% of time on site. • Exhibit a proactive mindset toward process improvement, automation, and collaboration.
