About the Role

• Work under Senior Urban Designers and the Head of Urban Design on RIBA stages 0‑2 projects. • Provide design support across various project types. • Prepare graphic support and produce reports. • Manage small individual projects with team leadership support. • Grow Mace’s GIS capability. • Assist the Head of Urban Design and Design Director in continuous improvement programmes. • Research innovative working methods and expand industry knowledge. • Develop early concept models using Autodesk Revit. • Interface with internal and external design teams.

The Mace Place Shaping team is seeking an Urban Designer to support its growing business, contributing to urban regeneration and community‑focused projects. The role suits graduates or early‑career professionals with strong digital, graphic and GIS capabilities, based in Manchester or London, and eligible for UK project requirements. Please submit your portfolio, CV and a covering letter stating your Revit/GIS/Adobe Suite capability and confirming you are a UK passport holder. • Demonstrate creativity, collaboration, initiative, resilience and effective time management. • Produce clear drawings, reports and presentations with strong graphic and communication skills. • Possess strong technical capability in Revit, Adobe Suite and GIS. • Have sound knowledge of the UK planning system and professional English communication. • Hold a degree in a built‑environment design field and an MA/MSc in Urban Design.
