About the Role

Working closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and legal teams, the specialist gathers and synthesises complex information to develop compelling offers that reflect Hitachi Energy’s value proposition. The position requires commercial acumen, technical understanding, and strong project coordination, staying up‑to‑date with market trends, customer needs, and regulatory developments to contribute to strategic bid decisions and continuous improvement. • Formulate competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with optimal product mix and technical/commercial considerations. • Prepare technical aspects of bids, including suitable technology and product type selection. • Develop financial components such as total price sheets and cash‑flow analysis for each proposal. • Quantify engineering and commissioning hours to support project‑management planning. • Provide timely inputs for editing and adhere to established quality procedures. • Coordinate external services such as translations and governmental approvals for bid preparation. • Collect, archive, and report bid documentation, assumptions, and decisions using defined tools. • Analyse tender outcomes and regularly update bid status reports. • Identify and manage risks in bids, quotations, and related contracts, participating in the Risk Review process. • Gather and collate technical and cost information required for proposal development. • Support Sales Managers with technical expertise during customer meetings. • Evaluate supplier offers, select potential vendors, and ensure alignment with project specifications. • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to coordinate subcontractor requests. • Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity in daily actions.

What You Bring

Your background: candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and have 5‑10 years of experience in EPC or high/medium‑voltage electrical product sales and tendering. The role demands proficiency with sales/tendering tools, deep knowledge of the power‑grid market, and proven ability to formulate competitive bids, manage financial aspects, and coordinate project‑management activities.
