About the Role
The role provides engineering authority for projects and tenders of low to medium complexity, delivering complete engineering assignments on small, medium, or large projects cost‑effectively and in line with contract specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include translating technical specifications into substation layouts, grounding and lightning system designs, cable routing plans, and related documentation. The engineer will be responsible for primary engineering deliverables, including AIS and GIS substation designs, compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE and AS, and verification of technical data sheets for primary equipment. Additional duties involve vendor offer evaluation, FAT/SAT support, and continuous improvement of quality and OPEX initiatives. • Prepare substation layouts, grounding, lightning, and cable routing drawings along with bill of materials. • Generate RFQs, evaluate vendor offers, and estimate engineering effort hours. • Conduct site visits, technical risk assessments, and opportunity evaluations. • Coordinate with engineering managers, tendering teams, project managers, SCM, and consultants. • Deliver complete AIS and GIS engineering packages complying with IEC, IEEE, and AS standards. • Verify technical data sheets and perform FAT/SAT of primary equipment as needed. • Identify and implement innovative approaches to reduce engineering effort and improve OPEX. • Maintain compliance with internal and external regulations while enhancing quality systems.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have 2–15 years of experience in substation tendering and project engineering. Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and knowledge of relevant standards are required, along with strong communication, teamwork, and ownership qualities. • Utilize BIM, Navisworks, MicroStation/AutoCAD, Revit, and 3‑D design tools proficiently. • Communicate effectively in English and collaborate with cross‑functional, global teams.
