About the Role

Key duties include developing project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates, providing QA/QC reviews, supervising engineering personnel, obtaining permits, coordinating with permitting agencies, and representing GFT at industry and professional events. • Lead development of bridge design concepts, criteria, and complex project elements. • Serve as Design Team Leader on complex bridge design activities. • Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate large engineering assignments. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including highway, transit, geotechnical, civil/site, and environmental disciplines. • Act as technical specialist for proposal development, scope, schedule, and cost estimation. • Manage bridge/structure personnel and act as Project Manager for small to medium multidisciplinary bridge projects. • Conduct QA/QC reviews and supervise staff of engineers and technical specialists. • Maintain client satisfaction, support business development, and represent GFT at professional events. • Manage multiple concurrent assignments, time, budget, and schedule. • Obtain necessary permits and coordinate with permitting agencies.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will bring at least 12 years of progressive bridge design experience, leading the development of design concepts, managing structural portions of large projects, mentoring junior staff, and serving as a technical specialist for client interfaces. • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). • Professional Engineer license with ability to obtain in multiple jurisdictions. • 12+ years of bridge and structural engineering experience. • Proficiency in MS Office, CADD, and structural design and analysis software. • Excellent oral and written communication; ability to lead client presentations. • Prior supervisory experience preferred. • Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
