About the Role
The Maintenance Technician supports operations by troubleshooting, diagnosing, performing housekeeping, and repairing commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. This role reports to Cushman & Wakefield and works across various facilities. Core duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems—including machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC—as well as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and mechanical devices. The technician also installs and modifies equipment, replaces finishes like ceiling tiles and door hardware, and performs carpentry and snow removal when needed. Emergency response and customer service requests are handled immediately, and fire and life safety systems are inspected and operated. Recommendations for upgrades and cost‑saving opportunities are evaluated and presented. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems such as machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and mechanical/electrical devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes including ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, and flooring. • Evaluate and recommend upgrades or cost‑saving maintenance solutions. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and preventative maintenance. • Operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as needed. • Maintain compliance with codes, regulations, and company safety policies. • Use smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems for work orders. • Work extended hours, shift schedules, and on‑call duties, often as the sole maintenance staff.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of related experience in a commercial property setting and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Additional technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is preferred. The role requires competence with tools and equipment, compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and company safety directives, and the ability to use smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems. Mandatory C&W safety training must be completed annually, and the technician must maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Benefits
