About the Role
Join a winning team that turns vacation dreams into reality at The Suites at Falls Creek in Branson, MO. As the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will oversee engineering operations across mechanical, structural, electrical, and related maintenance systems. You will partner with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs, engage staff, manage budgets, and identify opportunities that support annual business goals. In this role you will support the Director of Engineering in all aspects of building utilities, routine maintenance, project execution, regulatory compliance, vendor liaison, and budget control. You will also act as a shop foreman when needed and step in on special projects or assignments. • Assist Director with electrical, mechanical, construction, and maintenance programs • Assign and verify routine maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment • Visually inspect work quality and direct staff/contractors to meet performance standards • Complete special projects delegated by the Director • Communicate with city officials to maintain permits and licenses, including fire inspections • Coordinate elevator and escalator inspections with regulatory agencies and ensure guest safety • Liaise with vendors to review hotel technology and products • Attend industry events to apply trends that boost guest satisfaction and reduce costs • Serve as shop foreman or supervisor in their absence • Assist in negotiating contracts with outside contractors • Help establish and control the annual budget

What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of combined education and hands‑on experience with complex building systems, at least two years of supervisory experience, and the flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Relevant licenses, a technical diploma or apprenticeship, and managerial experience are preferred. • 5–10 years combined education and hands‑on experience with complex building systems • High school diploma or GED; required licenses or permits • 5–7 years related experience • 2+ years supervisory experience; flexible for variable shifts, weekends, holidays • Technical diploma or apprenticeship/trade certification preferred • Skill or trade license a plus • 2+ years managerial experience
