Job Highlights
About the Role
Each day you will keep the plant operating at peak performance, maintaining equipment such as balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. When systems fail, you will quickly diagnose and repair issues, ensuring safe and efficient return to service while collaborating with the Plant Maintenance Manager to support overall operations. The role requires performing preventive maintenance inspections, repairing and rebuilding major equipment, maintaining daily equipment inspection backlogs, and responding to emergency breakdowns. You will also evaluate third‑party repairs, suggest process improvements, and adhere to WM safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA standards while maintaining a clean work area. • Receive uniforms and personal protective equipment. • Participate in extensive paid training and clear career‑progression pathways. • Perform preventive maintenance inspections on balers, conveyors, hydraulic packs, eddy currents, and related equipment. • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild major plant equipment, including motors, gearboxes, and bearings. • Maintain daily equipment inspection backlog and ensure timely completion. • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls and meet standard repair times. • Inspect quality of third‑party repairs and recommend equipment‑performance improvements. • Follow WM Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA standards; keep work area clean and safe. • Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and communicate needs to the Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager.
