About the Role

The role focuses on enhancing CDM and health‑safety practices while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Effective collaboration and clear communication with internal teams are essential for project success. • Deliver CDM and health & safety consultancy services from the Sheffield office to existing and new clients. • Analyze client needs, proactively propose solutions, and ensure consistent service excellence. • Develop and improve CDM and H&S systems and processes for greater efficiency. • Act as Principal Designer and advise clients on CDM legal responsibilities. • Build and maintain positive client relationships to become a trusted advocate. • Represent Turner & Townsend professionally, handling meetings, negotiations, and timely correspondence. • Manage commissions to align client expectations with Turner & Townsend’s business management system. • Conduct health & safety performance reviews and audits on behalf of clients. • Liaise with SHQ and wider colleagues to enhance team effectiveness, consistency, quality, and profitability. • Compile pre‑construction information and maintain relevant H&S documentation. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring

Applicants must possess essential certifications and professional memberships, along with proven design experience and strong communication abilities. They should be adept at managing workloads and meeting deadlines in a construction environment. • Hold NEBOSH Construction Certificate and NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). • Possess a full UK driving licence. • Hold GradIOSH (or equivalent) and membership of the APS. • Demonstrate experience as a Principal Designer. • Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines. • Have extensive knowledge of construction industry practices and CDM regulations. • Experience across a diverse range of industry sectors is advantageous.
