About the Role

The Sr. Quality Engineer serves as a key leader in driving quality excellence across the manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for developing and executing advanced quality strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and leading cross‑functional initiatives that deliver sustainable improvements in product quality and operational performance. The Sr. Quality Engineer acts as a subject matter expert, mentor, and change agent, influencing plant‑wide quality culture and aligning quality objectives with business goals. The Sr. Quality Engineer defines and implements advanced quality strategies, advises leadership on quality risks and continuous‑improvement opportunities, and owns the plant Quality Management System to meet ISO and customer standards. They lead internal and external audits, champion Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen events, and drive cross‑functional root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation. Acting as the senior liaison for supplier quality, they represent the plant in customer reviews and develop statistical models and dashboards to monitor KPIs. The role also provides coaching, mentors junior engineers, and oversees control plans, FMEAs, SOPs, and document control. • Define and implement advanced quality strategies aligned with plant and corporate goals. • Advise leadership on quality risks, compliance, and continuous‑improvement opportunities. • Own and enhance the plant Quality Management System to meet ISO and customer standards. • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory readiness and compliance. • Champion Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies to resolve complex quality issues. • Lead cross‑functional root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation. • Serve as senior liaison for supplier quality, managing audits, escalations, and improvement plans. • Represent the plant in customer quality reviews and proactively address issues. • Develop statistical models and dashboards to monitor KPIs and predict trends. • Utilize Minitab for process capability and variation analysis. • Coach and train engineers and operations teams on quality tools and best practices. • Mentor junior quality engineers and technicians to develop future leaders. • Oversee creation and maintenance of control plans, FMEAs, SOPs, and documentation. • Ensure robust document control and revision management per corporate standards. • Drive cultural change and embed quality into business processes.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field and at least seven years of progressive quality‑engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, including three years in a senior or leadership role. Candidates must be expert in ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, SPC, DOE, and advanced statistical analysis, and have a proven record of leading cross‑functional projects that deliver measurable improvements. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification, experience with metallurgy and complex manufacturing processes, proficiency in Minitab and advanced data‑analytics tools, and bilingual capability for global interactions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thinking, data‑driven problem solving, strong leadership presence, and the ability to mentor and develop talent. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software, along with the capacity to drive cultural change and embed quality into business processes, is essential.
