Data Science Intern

About the Role

The Data Science Intern will work closely with a small team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers to build machine learning models that address business problems, using technologies such as Python, TensorFlow, and Google Cloud Platform. ConstructConnect participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm that every employee is eligible to work in the United States. A privacy notice is provided to inform candidates about the handling of their personal information. • Participate in Agile team meetings and communicate progress. • Extract and curate datasets for machine learning model training. • Pair with data scientists to prototype, build, evaluate, and deploy models on the cloud. • Improve and optimize machine learning models and algorithms. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to communicate outcomes. • Stay updated on state‑of‑the‑art computer vision and generative AI models.

What You Bring

The role requires frequent sitting, extensive computer work, and a dedicated ergonomic remote workspace; team members within commuting distance to office locations are expected to maintain a hybrid in‑office presence and must reside and work within the United States. • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field. • Passion for building innovative AI/ML solutions. • Strong Python programming skills. • Conceptual understanding of core machine learning concepts. • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data‑science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit‑Learn, Matplotlib). • Solid grasp of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
