About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for electronics hardware circuit design and development, covering analog, digital, mixed-signal and power-supply solutions for certified engine controller and monitoring systems, and will participate throughout the product lifecycle from concept to production. Work is performed within the Electronics Development Team, which delivers the next-generation aero-engine control system, emphasizing efficiency, diagnostics and cyber-threat protection for a variety of gas-turbine applications. • Concept, design, and execute electronics circuit designs for control and monitoring systems. • Create schematics and provide PCB layout support. • Perform trade‑study, tolerance, and simulation analyses to ensure design accuracy and efficiency. • Conduct worst‑case circuit calculations, stress analysis, and FMEA. • Develop and test electrical hardware prototypes throughout the product lifecycle. • Compile functional descriptions and design‑assurance test results for certification authorities.

What You Bring
The role requires up to 20 % travel between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 15 % additional travel, and candidates must be U.S. citizens. • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of hardware circuit design experience; advanced degrees acceptable. • U.S. citizenship required. • 5+ years of circuit design experience, including New Product Introduction. • Proficiency with schematic capture tools such as Allegro, Cadence, or Altium Designer. • Experience with root‑cause analysis, power converters, filtering, protection, and EMI reduction techniques. • Ability to translate high‑level requirements into validated electrical component designs.
