About the Role

The Fabrication Supervisor leads welding operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high productivity, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols while aligning workflow with production schedules. Key duties include planning work schedules based on engineering drawings, assigning tasks and resources to welders, monitoring production progress, conducting quality inspections, enforcing OSHA safety standards, overseeing equipment use, investigating incidents, and reporting status to upper management. The supervisor also trains new welders, provides ongoing coaching to improve skills and productivity, leads and motivates the welding team, handles performance evaluations and conflict resolution, and manages costs to optimize resource use and reduce waste. • Plan and set work schedules based on production needs and engineering drawings. • Assign welding tasks and allocate resources to ensure effective execution. • Monitor and adjust workflows to meet production targets and deadlines. • Conduct inspections of welded components to verify quality and compliance. • Enforce OSHA safety guidelines and ensure proper PPE usage. • Oversee safe operation and maintenance of welding equipment; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. • Train new welders on techniques, safety practices, and equipment use; provide ongoing coaching. • Lead, motivate, and manage a welding team, handling performance evaluations and conflict resolution. • Track and control welding costs, optimizing material, labor, and equipment expenditures. • Integrate and manage robotic welding systems and coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance. • Maintain documentation of procedures, inspections, and safety training; report status to management.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of welding experience, including two to three years in a supervisory role, deep knowledge of TIG, MIG, SMAW, and GTAW methods, and the ability to read blueprints and specifications, with familiarity in CNC operations and Lean manufacturing. A high school diploma is required, while AWS certification or a related degree is advantageous. • Minimum 5 years welding experience, including 2–3 years supervisory role. • Proficient with TIG, MIG, SMAW, GTAW and able to read blueprints and specifications. • Familiarity with CNC operations, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement. • Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills. • High school diploma required; AWS certification or related degree preferred.
