About the Role
The Sorter position is responsible for ensuring that materials are correctly placed and sorted on the conveyor line. This role involves inspecting items, separating them by type, size, condition, or grade, and removing contaminants. The sorter also loads wastepaper onto the conveyor, stacks boxes and skids, and keeps the work area clean while monitoring equipment operation. All tasks must be performed according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Employees are expected to attend weekly or monthly safety and operations meetings and to report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, or grade, and remove contaminants. • Load wastepaper onto conveyor, stack boxes/skids, and keep the sorting area clean. • Follow SOPs, monitor equipment speed, and report safety issues or malfunctions. • Attend weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings. • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, repetitive motions in indoor and outdoor environments.

What You Bring
No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The job demands physical activities such as climbing, balancing, repetitive motions, and coordination, and can be performed in indoor garage or shop settings as well as outdoors in inclement weather, heat, or humidity. • No experience required; high school diploma or GED preferred.
