About the Role

The senior manager will direct pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out activities, review design documents, and prepare status reports for senior leadership. Responsibilities include coordinating with public agencies and district staff, managing budgets and schedules, supervising contractor daily work, handling change orders, and ensuring timely payments and certifications. • Oversee all project phases from pre-construction through close-out for assigned K-12 facilities. • Review and comment on pre-construction documents, contractor submittals, and design changes. • Coordinate with public agencies and district staff to ensure regulatory compliance. • Manage project budget and schedule, monitoring monthly financial performance. • Supervise contractor daily activities, construction schedules, and respond to RFCs. • Negotiate and evaluate change order proposals for fair pricing and schedule impact. • Administer payments to contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. • Ensure project close-out meets Division of State Architects certification and financial closure.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, or obtain a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one year. At least fifteen years of construction project-management experience is required, with five years leading complex projects valued over $20 million, and experience in design-build, BIM, LEED/CHPS, and DSA processes is highly preferred. Preferred certifications include CCM, PE, RA, and AIA. • Minimum 15 years construction project-management experience; 5 years leading $20 M+ projects. • Bachelor’s in architecture, engineering, or construction management (or CCM within one year). • Design‑build, BIM, LEED/CHPS, and DSA process experience strongly preferred. • Preferred certifications: CCM, PE, RA, AIA.
