About the Role

As a Groundman you will work on electric transmission line circuits, setting and removing poles and towers, and installing and removing conductors. The role involves operating a variety of equipment, including cranes, helicopters, ATVs, and snowcats, and may require out‑of‑town travel to other Xcel Energy Colorado territories. • Install and remove overhead and underground conductors • Rig equipment for crane applications • Drive and operate various commercial vehicles • Operate helicopters for construction tasks • Use specialized equipment such as ATVs and snowcats • Operate specialized line construction equipment and vehicles • Use computer skills for training and compliance • Apply hand and power tools safely • Receive email invitation and sign up for EEI test • Confirm registration via email • Prepare using provided study information
