About the Role

The Commercial Service Manager role is open to candidates anywhere in South Carolina, overseeing a multi‑million‑dollar HVAC service branch with profit‑and‑loss responsibility and a mandate to grow market share. The manager leads field technicians and operations staff to deliver maintenance, repair, overhaul, and installation projects that exceed customer expectations while meeting revenue and margin targets. The position requires ensuring service and optimization guidelines are followed, actively improving KPI performance, participating in daily DMB meetings, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety compliance through training. The manager also oversees work order accuracy, warranty and recall issues, proper scheduling and dispatch, and conducts customer visits to drive satisfaction and identify new service opportunities. Recruiting, hiring, and training technicians, forecasting financial performance, managing experienced teams, handling customer complaints, and developing improvement plans are additional duties. The role demands strong commercial HVAC knowledge, relationship management, talent development, field operations oversight, and a safety focus. • Ensure adherence to Service & Optimization guidelines and best practices. • Identify actions, complete offline tasks, and flag blockers to improve KPI performance. • Participate in daily DMB meetings, reporting progress and corrective actions for underperforming KPIs. • Maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance; provide safety training for shop and customer sites. • Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy and efficient accounts receivable management. • Resolve warranty issues, product recalls, premature failures, and operational problems. • Schedule and dispatch technicians based on skill level, efficiency, and training requirements. • Recruit, interview, hire, and train technicians to meet workload and customer expectations. • Conduct customer visits to ensure satisfaction, retention, and identify additional service opportunities. • Supervise field technicians in equipment repair, maintenance, start‑up, and operation to guarantee customer satisfaction. • Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan. • Address and resolve issues encountered by experienced team members and manage them per program objectives. • Respond to key customer complaints and conduct satisfaction investigations to develop improvement plans.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of commercial HVAC experience, five years leading technician teams, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license; a bachelor’s in business or engineering, service‑management experience, and computer proficiency are preferred.
