About the Role

The role involves receiving work assignments from management and internal customers to fulfill orders promptly, following established procedures, and performing quality checks as instructed. You will monitor workflow and inspect PNBD products on all lines, conducting electrical and mechanical tests in line with work instructions and governmental requirements. A key part of the job is ensuring product functionality by confirming proper operation of panelboards and components, documenting any non-conformances, and verifying that revisions are incorporated into production. You will also support a safe, engaged, and inclusive culture by complying with safety requirements, using personal protective equipment, and performing 5S duties. • Perform quality checks and electrical/mechanical testing (Hi-Pot, continuity, component-specific) on PNBD products. • Verify revisions and ensure documentation reflects current specifications. • Include required component literature and product documentation with each job. • Serve as informal trainer for production associates on complex tasks. • Document and communicate non-conformances, coordinate rework and corrective actions. • Communicate design errors to front-end personnel and obtain revisions. • Prevent unintended use of suspect product by proper identification. • Coordinate shift handovers to maintain inspection accountability. • Follow all safety requirements, use PPE, and perform 5S duties. • Maintain compliance with UL, NEC, regional utility, and customer-specific codes. • Read and interpret manufacturing documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics preferred, and the ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem-solving skills are essential, along with knowledge of basic electricity, UL, NEC, and customer-specific codes. • Possess a high school diploma/GED; associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem-solving skills. • Be computer literate and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Reside within a 50-mile radius of the Sumter, SC facility; no relocation assistance provided.
