About the Role

• Perform routine field work such as soil, soil‑gas, groundwater, stormwater sampling, drilling, and well installation. • Maintain quality‑control standards to ensure accurate and precise measurements. • Produce complete and concise documentation using electronic systems and field notebooks. • Follow safety guidelines and site‑specific procedures, including sample collection, location data, and laboratory documentation. • Apply latest technologies and techniques to analyze organic and inorganic compounds. • Complete training on assigned tasks and continuously develop technical skills. • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. • Maintain a proven workplace safety record and comply with health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline, and 0–1 year of relevant post‑education experience. Candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills, familiarity with hazardous‑substance reduction, environmental regulations, and effective communication abilities for both scientific and non‑scientific audiences. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field. • Have 0–1 year of relevant post‑education experience with strong research and analytical abilities. • Understand concepts for reducing and eliminating hazardous substances and be familiar with environmental laws, regulations, and compliance practices. • Demonstrate competent interpersonal and communication skills for scientific and non‑scientific audiences. • Show self‑leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization in a dynamic environment. • Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively within a team. • Proficient in technical writing, office automation, and communication software. • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and maintain a valid driver’s license. • Preferred: membership in local professional organizations and familiarity with ArcGIS, gINT, or OpenGround Cloud. • Preferred: 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER (HAZWOPER) training.
