About the Role
The Sorter is responsible for correctly placing and sorting materials on the conveyor line, ensuring efficient operation and product quality. The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and teamwork to maintain a clean and orderly work area. • Inspect materials and sort items by type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and clean the floor. • Stack boxes and skids; dump boxes and totes as needed. • Feed wastepaper and other materials onto the conveyor. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting line; keep the work area tidy. • Monitor machine start‑up and ensure proper operating speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use and maintenance. • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly. • Participate in weekly or monthly safety and operations meetings.

The Sorter position offers a base pay range of $15.87 to $23.85 and a Monday‑Friday schedule from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work and shortened hours on Fridays.
