About the Role

In this capacity the engineer will lead structural design efforts, provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and communicate design solutions to clients. Responsibilities also include site inspections, quality‑control reviews, preparation of technical proposals, and ensuring compliance with permitting and client standards, while managing workload independently under the guidance of project leadership. • Lead structural engineering on diverse building projects, from small to large scale. • Provide technical input and develop structural design solutions using industry‑standard software. • Mentor and train junior engineers on constructability and design methodologies. • Present complex technical solutions directly to clients and stakeholders. • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify design intent. • Perform quality‑control reviews and approve work produced by team members. • Prepare technical proposals, including cost estimates and schedule assessments. • Review permitting agency requirements, engineering standards, and client design standards for compliance. • Work independently on design tasks while coordinating with project and department managers.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer, and have at least six years of relevant experience, with U.S. citizenship required. Preferred qualifications include ten years of building‑design experience, proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements or RISA, and strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, especially for large, complex programs. • Minimum qualifications: B.S. in Structural Engineering, PE licensure, 6+ years experience, U.S. citizenship. • Preferred: 10+ years building design experience, expertise in ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit; experience on large, complex programs.
