Cleaner- 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Cleaner role on the 2nd shift reports to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and carries out a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Work is performed according to the company’s established standards, instructions, and procedures. The position is essential to maintaining clean and safe environments in the buildings served. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, and using commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines to clean floors and other interior surfaces. The cleaner also vacuums rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleans and shampoos rugs as directed, and dustes furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, and light fixtures, with periodic high‑dusting. Interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors are washed, and interior walls receive spot cleaning as needed. Restroom maintenance involves cleaning fixtures, emptying waste baskets, restocking paper supplies, and monitoring for issues such as clogged urinals or lighting problems, which are reported to supervisors. Trash is collected daily, placed in approved containers, and liners are replaced according to specifications. Snow is swept or shoveled from steps and walkways when directed, and periodic deep‑cleaning tasks such as leather polishing, wall washing, and high‑dusting are performed. • Sweep, mop, and buffer floors; clean interior surfaces • Vacuum rugs and perform spot cleaning and shampooing as directed • Dust furniture, exhibits, light fixtures, and conduct high‑dusting • Wash interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors • Clean and restock restrooms, monitor fixtures, and report issues • Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners, and handle snow removal • Perform periodic tasks such as leather polishing, wall washing, and deep cleaning • Follow instructions with minimal supervision and work cooperatively as a team • Operate cleaning equipment including portable vacuums and commercial floor machines
