About the Role

The Field Sales Consultant role generates its own sales leads and conducts in‑home presentations of Sunrun’s solar products and services. Success in this position relies on building genuine, human connections with homeowners to assess whether solar is a viable solution for their families. Candidates who thrive on face‑to‑face interaction and enjoy working in the field will find this job rewarding. Consultants manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting and appointment setting to post‑installation follow‑up, while delivering an industry‑leading customer experience. They are responsible for accurately recording activities and outcomes in Sunrun’s CRM system and for achieving the sales targets established by leadership. • Develop self‑generated sales strategies, leads, and appointments with potential customers. • Deliver an industry‑leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and system activation. • Conduct in‑home sales presentations, assess customer knowledge and needs, and build long‑lasting relationships. • Manage the sales pipeline from prospect to install, following up on all leads and consultations. • Accurately record outcomes and activity in the CRM system. • Meet or exceed minimum sales targets set by leadership.

What You Bring

The role requires at least one year of sales or lead‑generation experience, with in‑home sales preferred, and applicants must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for cross‑functional collaboration, and candidates must be willing to travel locally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A comfortable level with technology—using an iPad, computer, and multiple software applications—is also required, and CRM experience is a plus. • Minimum 1 year of sales or lead‑generation experience; in‑home sales experience preferred. • Must be 21 + years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record. • Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross‑functional collaboration. • Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. • Comfortable using an iPad, computer, and multiple software applications; CRM experience a plus.
