About the Role
The role involves performing site development engineering and managing residential and commercial land development projects, including design, research, coordination, permitting, cost estimating, and the preparation of bid packages and technical specifications. Kimley-Horn's Des Moines, Iowa office is seeking a Civil Engineer with four or more years of experience to join their Land Development team. Candidates must have at least four years of relevant engineering design experience and hold a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or be able to obtain one within 12 months. Required skills include site civil design, permitting, hydrology and storm‑drainage modeling, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, utility design, and the creation of construction documents, along with strong client coordination and quality oversight abilities. • Hold 4+ years of engineering design experience and a PE license (or obtain within 12 months).
