About the Role

The Permit Coordinator oversees the Starts Process at the division office, handling panel development, paperwork collection, permit submissions, and data entry into JD Edwards. This role requires strong organization to manage critical tasks that initiate home construction, from obtaining engineering documents to coordinating inspections and final approvals. • Collect engineering and architectural documents to start permit applications. • Secure municipal approvals and serve as liaison with local authorities. • Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant agencies and boards. • Review division plans for correct revision dates and verify start package accuracy. • Coordinate paperwork with external consultants and enter permitting data in JD Edwards. • Schedule inspections, produce permitting timelines, and track progress to closing. • Attend county board meetings and hearings to present projects and obtain approvals. • Maintain organized files for site plans, licenses, and permits.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and one year of experience with single‑ or multi‑family permitting. They need strong time‑management skills, the ability to read blueprints, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, a valid driver’s license, and the physical capability to work on construction sites and handle equipment up to 50 pounds. • Demonstrate at least one year of permitting experience and strong organizational skills. • Possess a valid driver’s license, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
