About the Role
In this role you will lead systems engineering activities for ITS and signal system projects, overseeing design, integration, construction, and implementation. You will verify engineering deliverables against technical, schedule, and cost criteria, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and develop robust, cost‑effective solutions while staying current on emerging technologies. • Perform systems engineering for ITS and signal system projects, covering design, integration, construction, and implementation. • Verify project engineering work to ensure compliance with technical specifications, schedule, and cost requirements. • Coordinate technical aspects with multidisciplinary teams and clients as needed. • Develop cost‑effective and robust solutions by evaluating engineering challenges and consulting experts. • Prepare bid documents, feasibility studies, designs, specifications, and program and cost estimates. • Deliver presentations to clients and senior management. • Stay current with advances in technology applicable to leading‑edge ITS solutions.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, ITS/Communications Systems Design or a related discipline and possess at least four years of relevant experience. Required expertise includes design, integration, and testing of ITS field infrastructure, traffic engineering analysis, fiber and wireless communications design, and application of connected‑vehicle and advanced traffic management technologies. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, ITS/Communications Systems Design, or a related field. • Have at least four years of relevant engineering experience. • Experience designing, integrating, and testing ITS field infrastructure, including traffic engineering and impact analysis. • Proficient in fiber optic and wireless communications design for smart‑city infrastructure. • Knowledge of connected and autonomous vehicle technologies within ITS design. • Familiarity with Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS), Integrated Corridor Management (ICM), and placement of ITS devices such as DMS, LCS, CCTV, WIM, Lidar, and VDS. • Ability to cost and estimate ITS system projects.
