About the Role

The Operating Supervisor will direct the administration and coordination of Pressure Control Operating Mechanic employee activities. They will interface with interstate gas transmission pipeline representatives, perform mandated regulator equipment inspections and maintenance, and conduct various troubleshooting activities. The supervisor will support central and regional gas distribution capital and maintenance projects, perform safety inspections, and provide the Department Manager with accurate, timely information on activities and performance. They will assist regional operating sections and manage activities related to developing and reviewing performance against departmental goals and standards. Prioritization includes seasonal pressure adjustments, annual performance tests, periodic inspection programs, and installation and maintenance of industrial customer regulator piping and equipment. The supervisor will also administer and communicate operating procedures, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation and repair of gas distribution facilities. • Direct administration and coordination of Pressure Control Operating Mechanic staff. • Interface with interstate gas transmission pipeline representatives. • Perform regulator equipment inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Support central and regional gas distribution capital and maintenance projects. • Conduct mandated safety inspections and provide timely performance reports to the Department Manager. • Assist regional operating sections and manage performance review against departmental goals. • Prioritize field operations such as seasonal pressure adjustments, annual tests, inspections, and regulator piping installations. • Administer and communicate operating procedures, engineering plans, and specifications for gas distribution facilities.
