About the Role
The role’s primary purpose is to perform effective maintenance services under an annual maintenance contract for metro projects, ensuring system availability and smooth operations by applying strong technical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills in a dynamic metro environment. • Execute on‑site maintenance activities in line with contractual KPIs and system checklists. • Provide expert‑level support to NMRC staff for routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. • Supervise maintenance, conduct fault diagnostics, and perform root‑cause analysis with ATS design team and overseas experts. • Download, analyze, and investigate ATS logs, error and warning messages, applying corrective actions. • Verify system configurations, upload software updates, and manage scheduled server and workstation reboots. • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance actions, troubleshooting steps, and safety compliance. • Follow Metro rail safety permits and regulations during all maintenance tasks. • Deliver 24 × 7 shift and emergency telephonic support, including night‑hour coverage. • Monitor daily maintenance performance and generate technical reports for the client. • Ensure adequate spare‑stock availability and activate repair processes as needed.

What You Bring
We are seeking a self‑motivated Senior Wayside & On‑Board Service Engineer for the ATS subsystem who thrives in a fast‑paced setting, handling tasks that range from administrative duties to strategic technical initiatives, and who is willing to relocate between metro project sites as business needs dictate. Candidates should have at least five years of experience for degree holders or seven years for diploma holders working with ATS in metro or railway signalling, along with hands‑on expertise in Windows, Linux/UNIX operating systems, hardware, software installation, and networking technologies such as TCP/IP and Wi‑Fi. A degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university is required, complemented by excellent client‑facing communication and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. • Minimum 5 years (degree) or 7 years (diploma) experience with ATS in metro/rail signalling. • Proficiency with Windows, Linux/UNIX OS, hardware/software installation, and server applications. • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi) and experience with switches, routers, and servers. • Strong client‑facing communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work under pressure.
