Clerk - 1st Shift

About the Role

In this role you will support the shipping and receiving department with tasks such as picking, packing, putaway, data collection, reporting, and handling mail. You will provide coverage during core business hours (typically 6:00 am‑2:30 pm) and be available for overtime on short notice. Familiarity with freight standards for both domestic and foreign shipments is required. You will work with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department to ensure compliance with worldwide EHS requirements and exhibit a positive, team‑based attitude. Physical duties include using lift assists or partner lifts, lifting up to 35 lb, and pushing or pulling up to 100 lb. Cross‑training, standing in for other employees, and providing temporary supervision when a supervisor or lead is absent are also expected. All documentation related to incoming and outgoing shipments must be accurate and entered daily into the appropriate electronic tracking, shipping, and storage systems, including Oracle and the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This includes semi‑autonomous receipt of goods in WMS based on generated purchase orders. What You Bring

Candidates must have at least six months of experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, or stand‑up forklifts, and a minimum of one year using the Manhattan WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Applicants should reside within a 50‑mile radius of Dallas, TX, though active‑duty military members are exempt from this requirement. One year of experience in a warehouse or distribution‑center environment is also required. Success in this position requires the ability to work the specified shift hours and flexibility for overtime based on customer demand.
