About the Role

In this role you will drive operational excellence and workforce development for high‑voltage and substation work on utility‑scale renewable energy construction projects. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, you will provide strategic guidance and coaching to site leadership on daily operations, staff performance, and reporting, while overseeing processes and budgets to reduce waste and improve efficiency. You will also develop and implement workforce plans that align project priorities with organizational goals and cultivate key talent for long‑term success. When visiting job sites, employees may encounter typical construction hazards, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise, and will be required to wear fire‑resistant clothing and follow basic safety precautions. • Communicate company values, quality policies, and a culture of workmanship throughout the organization. • Develop and enforce operational policies to maximize safety, performance, and profitability. • Lead problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Monitor key metrics and formulate strategies to enhance profitability. • Create project matrices, manage budgets, coordinate materials, and ensure staffing levels with the Project Management Team. • Set, communicate, and evaluate progress toward field goals and benchmarks. • Resolve field office operational issues and ensure compliance with local regulations. • Design workforce plans covering labor needs, supervision, equipment, and training aligned with SMART goals. • Control field office expenses, oversee timely reporting, and manage equipment accountability. • Oversee HR functions including recruitment, promotions, transfers, terminations, and salary negotiations. • Conduct root‑cause analyses and drive closure of corrective actions. • Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and mentor field supervision staff. • Cross‑train personnel to work across industrial, civil, power, oil, and gas disciplines. • Apply safety, quality, lean, and continuous‑improvement principles. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and regulatory documents. • Produce clear written reports, technical specifications, and procedural documents. • Present information effectively to project stakeholders and the public. • Perform basic algebra, statistics, and geometry calculations.

Benefits

The position is remote with regular travel to job sites across the United States (approximately 50‑75% of the time). A vehicle allowance is provided and all travel expenses, including meals and lodging, are covered on a corporate expense card. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $155,000 per year plus an annual bonus, with performance‑based merit increases.
