About the Role

As a Civil Engineer you will support and contribute to the planning, design and delivery of multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, designers and project managers, gaining exposure to all stages of project development while building technical and leadership capability. You will deliver civil engineering designs and analyses, produce technical documentation, perform calculations and modelling, and coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to enable integrated project delivery. You will also assist with design reviews, planning activities, proposal development and support design assurance, safety and quality processes, participating in site visits and inspections as needed. • Deliver civil engineering designs, analyses and technical documentation. • Perform engineering calculations, modelling and reporting. • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders for integrated delivery. • Assist with design reviews, planning activities and project decisions. • Support proposal development, bids and technical submissions. • Contribute to design assurance, safety and quality processes. • Participate in site visits, meetings and inspections.

What You Bring

We’re looking for motivated and capable Civil Engineers to join our high‑performing Civil team in Adelaide. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Defence, Transport and Buildings, working alongside experienced technical specialists and project leaders. The position is suited to engineers with a solid technical foundation who are ready to take the next step in responsibility and project ownership. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and proven experience delivering civil engineering design and documentation on infrastructure projects. Candidates must understand Australian Standards, possess strong technical skills in analysis and modelling, and be able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent written and verbal communication, a proactive approach to quality and safety, and a desire to pursue Chartered status (CPEng) are also essential. Australian permanent residency or citizenship is preferred for Defence‑related projects. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure design and documentation. • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and industry practices. • Proficient in analysis, modelling and design tools. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proactive approach to quality, safety and continuous improvement. • Pursuing or interested in Chartered status (CPEng) with KBR support. • Australian permanent residency or citizenship (preferred for Defence projects).
