About the Role
You will support services such as contaminated‑site investigations, environmental assessments, wastewater, groundwater and surface‑water monitoring, baseline studies, site visits, inspections, and compliance monitoring. Success in this role requires keen attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to follow and document sampling protocols and site‑visit observations. The position is full‑time and based in the Saskatoon area, operating within a collaborative team that views itself as one unified group. You will interact regularly with geoscientists, biologists, engineers, planners, and other environmental scientists. • Conduct field work for Phased Environmental Site Assessments, sampling soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and soil vapor. • Travel to remote and local sites, including extended stays of up to two weeks, across Canada’s northern territories. • Supervise subcontractors such as equipment operators, drillers, excavators, utility locators, and remediation specialists. • Coordinate sampling activities with laboratories, clients, and third‑party stakeholders. • Develop and implement health‑ and safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulations. • Compile and analyze field observations, analytical data, borehole logs, and test‑pit logs. • Prepare technical reports, memos, letters, and proposals. • Support project managers and multidisciplinary team members, including geoscientists and engineers. • Work remotely and overtime as needed while maintaining high‑quality documentation. • Pursue continuous self‑development and professional growth, and represent Dillon in professional associations. • Contribute to a culture of innovation, encouraging forward‑looking solutions and adoption of new technologies.
