About the Role

In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, MEP engineers, and internal teams to create detailed system designs, calculations, and layouts for a wide variety of technical spaces, advancing from basic assignments to more complex projects under senior guidance. • Support design efforts on a wide range of projects, performing calculations and layout of highly technical spaces. • Provide trade‑specific system design layouts using CAD/BIM and perform calculations with appropriate software. • Coordinate designs with architectural and engineering disciplines under senior staff guidance. • Represent Syska Hennessy Group and interact with internal design team, clients, architects, vendors, and other consultants. • Create designs with minimal supervision, develop specifications, system narratives, and layouts. • Establish system application, design, and operational parameters under senior direction. • Participate in and oversee QA/QC processes for own and others’ work. • Assist senior team with project scheduling, staffing, and budgeting. • Perform construction administration, field investigations, inspections, and detailed reports. • Process RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda with senior staff. • Manage CAD/BIM and other technical staff as appropriate. • Write engineering proposals under senior guidance. • Attend continuing‑education seminars on technical or professional topics.

Our Information and Communication Technology Group in New York is seeking a Technology Systems Consultant with design experience in Telecom, IT, Audio Visual, or Security to support engineering across diverse facilities such as critical facilities, corporate interiors, sports and entertainment venues, healthcare, airports, and educational institutions. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technical discipline or equivalent experience. • 7–10 years of design experience in audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security across critical facilities, healthcare, aviation, sports, corporate interiors, and education. • Proficiency in written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills. • Knowledge of active network systems, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi, telephony design, and heat‑map generation. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit/Revit 360 preferred. • Relevant certifications (P.E., PSP, CPP, CTS, CTS‑D, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PMP) are a plus.
