About the Role

The Central‑West Orana project is seeking a dedicated Cost Controller to ensure accurate reporting of project costs and monitor budgets against staffing deliverables. The role involves preparing financial reports to support budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities, and presenting monthly cost performance to internal management. • Review and analyse project costs, forecasts and identify risks and opportunities. • Assess forecast assumptions and contingency allowances, flag emerging trends. • Prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals. • Present monthly cost performance and explain budget variances to management. • Collaborate with budget owners to challenge forecasts and improve financial outcomes. • Support Finance and project teams to meet reporting deadlines.

What You Bring

Applicants should have 5–7 years of project cost‑control experience, preferably in infrastructure projects, and hold relevant qualifications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, and the ability to work with limited supervision, multitask and meet deadlines is essential. Advanced MS Excel skills and the capacity to analyse forecasts, assess assumptions, prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals are also needed. • 5‑7 years of cost‑control experience in infrastructure projects. • Relevant professional qualification in a related field. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multi‑stakeholder collaboration. • Ability to work autonomously, multitask and meet tight deadlines. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
