About the Role

• Support database programming and testing for train control system software. • Implement real‑time applications using C/C++ and develop Python scripts. • Write, debug, and execute test procedures; review results and document defects. • Investigate and apply fixes for reported issues; assist testing teams with troubleshooting. • Follow Hitachi’s established software development processes and engineering practices. • Work full‑time (40 hours/week) in a hybrid setting, with a minimum of two on‑site days per week.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and have completed at least their second year of study. They should possess hands‑on C/C++ development, Python scripting skills, strong teamwork, a proactive attitude, and effective English communication, while being able to work on‑site at least two days per week. • Pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (second or third year of study). • Demonstrate hands‑on development experience with C/C++ and scripting proficiency in Python. • Exhibit strong teamwork, proactive attitude, and effective verbal and written communication in English. • Preferred: prior co‑op or internship experience, familiarity with Git, and at least one academic term remaining after the internship.
