About the Role
The Production Technician assembles and wires sub‑assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies for electrical control equipment. Using hand and power tools, they fit and mount parts, prepare assemblies for testing, and verify electrical and mechanical integrity with established power‑checking procedures. All work is performed to meet quantity and quality requirements while following customer specifications, electrical drawings, and work instructions. Additional duties include inspecting and testing finished panelboards and switchboards to ensure conformance with specifications and codes, maintaining job progress, reporting material shortages, and preparing products for shipment. The technician also supports Lean initiatives by suggesting improvements to quality, processes, and safety, and maintains equipment and work areas according to 5S guidelines. Cross‑training and flexibility across functions are expected to meet business needs. • Assemble and wire panelboards/switchboards using hand and power tools. • Perform power checks, inspections, and final testing to ensure compliance. • Maintain job progress, report shortages, and prepare shipments. • Drive Lean improvements and uphold 5S workplace standards. • Cross‑train across functions and operate equipment like drill presses and forklifts.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least one year of assembly experience with hand or power tools, or a one‑year technical school diploma, and a high school diploma or GED. Relevant experience includes CNC bus fabrication, press‑brake operation, reading wiring diagrams, using measuring tools, and handling equipment such as drill presses, fork trucks, and jib cranes. Physical requirements include lifting 35 lb regularly, working overtime as needed, and communicating effectively in written and verbal forms while following manufacturing drawings and safety practices. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the work location, although active‑duty military members are exempt from this limitation. No relocation benefits are offered for this position. • Require ≥1 year assembly experience or technical school diploma, plus high school/GED. • Knowledge of wiring diagrams, torque tolerances, and measuring tools needed. • Able to lift 35 lb, work overtime, and communicate effectively. • Must live within 50 mi of site (active‑duty military exempt); no relocation assistance.
