About the Role

The grader operator uses a self‑propelled grader to spread and level dirt, gravel, and stone according to grading specifications for earthwork structures in construction and maintenance projects. The role ensures precise grading to support infrastructure development. The operator conducts safety and maintenance checks on assigned equipment, starts engines, and operates controls to maneuver the grader. They coordinate with the truck driver to position loads, avoid hazards such as utility lines and falling objects, and perform routine maintenance like oiling and greasing. Adherence to company safety policies outlined in the safety manual is required. • Perform safety and maintenance inspections on grading equipment. • Operate grader controls to start engines, adjust throttles, and maneuver machinery. • Signal truck driver to position loads and facilitate material loading. • Identify and avoid hazards such as utility lines, equipment, and falling objects. • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including oiling and greasing. • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
