About the Role

You will provide day‑to‑day technical transport planning input, manage project budgets and resources, and mentor Early Career Professionals. The position also offers the chance to lead transport planning on small‑to‑medium projects and support senior staff on complex, multi‑disciplinary developments, expanding your commercial skills and professional network. • Lead transport assessments, travel plans, access and parking strategies, and sustainable/active travel provisions using NPPF, DfT guidelines, and Manual for Streets. • Produce traffic flow data for Transport Assessments and Environmental Statements. • Set up and run junction capacity models (e.g., Junctions 10, Linsig) and perform scenario testing. • Manage small‑to‑medium projects, including budgeting, resourcing and invoicing. • Supervise conceptual junction design, including priority, roundabout and signal layouts. • Mentor Early Career Professionals and share technical knowledge.

What You Bring

We are recruiting Transport Planners with strong development‑focused experience to join our Birmingham Development team. The role involves delivering transport strategies, contributing to masterplans, and providing expert‑witness evidence for commercial, retail and residential schemes, while working closely with Highways, Services, Structures and Environmental specialists. • Communicate confidently with clients, senior colleagues and project stakeholders. • Proficient in Excel, Word and transport planning software. • Hold post‑graduate level experience; pursuing or achieved chartered status in a transport discipline.
