About the Role

• Provide pre‑construction support and prepare turnover binder templates. • Manage submittal and RFI processes for specific definable features of work (DFW) using PMA and related tools. • Evaluate and distribute project design and engineering documents. • Prepare site mobilization plans, research living arrangements, and coordinate kickoff meetings. • Arrange short‑form subcontracts with local entities and draft subcontracts and purchase agreements. • Use Best Practice Database for SWIs, quality documents, and meeting preparation. • Manage QA/QC per Project Quality Plan and oversee inventory processes. • Coordinate DFW preparation meetings, inspections, and final punch‑list inspections. • Apply construction management/engineering principles and interpret technical documents.

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a Field Engineer to actively manage construction projects, applying basic construction management and engineering techniques to solve problems and perform various processes. Candidates must be able to travel up to 100%, possess a valid driver’s license, and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). • Prior construction site experience preferred. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%. • Basic knowledge of project scheduling, estimating, and Microsoft Office suite. • Strong written and verbal communication, relationship‑building, multitasking, and active‑listening skills. • Capability to learn and use construction management software.
