xScale Lead Sales Engineer

About the Role

The role primarily provides pre‑sales technical consultancy for developing and implementing complex solutions. It leverages broad industry knowledge to match products with customer needs, prepares detailed specifications and designs, and offers consultation during customer meetings, tours, assessments and validations. The position is customer‑facing, capable of demand creation and cross‑regional coordination, and can provide post‑sales technical expertise during installation and contract fulfillment. • Serve as primary technical contact for hyperscale customers, leading site tours, sales calls and design reviews. • Generate proposals, respond to RFPs and manage bid processes from pre‑ to post‑Ready for Service. • Coordinate with internal groups (xScale, D&C, Operations, Security) to ensure project progress and customer satisfaction. • Oversee on‑ground processes, vendor selection and pricing collaboration with D&C and Bid Manager. • Provide post‑sales technical expertise during installation and contract fulfillment. • Maintain deep knowledge of data‑center subsystems and the xScale product portfolio.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of data‑center engineering experience, preferably with hyperscale colocation or cloud providers. • Undergraduate degree in engineering, science or technical discipline; mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering preferred. • Experience across major data‑center subsystems (electrical, mechanical, security, telecom, etc.) and construction management. • Global exposure to major data‑center hubs; project/program management background is a plus. • Strong understanding of customer layout, planning conventions, operations and lifecycle management.

The targeted annual compensation for this position ranges from $163,000 to $245,000 in the United States, reflecting base pay plus commissions and may include equity, depending on the role. Pay ranges are based on role, level and location and are adjusted periodically according to business needs and individual experience, skills and education.
