About the Role
As a Mid‑Level (Senior) Appian Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain Appian applications that automate and optimize business processes, providing both production support and new development while collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders. The role involves requirement analysis, workflow design, integration, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement within Agile methodologies, using Azure DevOps for tracking and ensuring security compliance. Remote work with up to 10 % travel may be required. • Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications to automate business processes • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues with Business Analysts • Conduct requirement analysis and translate business needs into Appian solutions • Build process models, interfaces, and integrations within the Appian platform • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives • Use Azure DevOps (or similar) for task tracking, version control, and communication • Create technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides • Participate in testing, validation, and quality assurance of new features • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and apply best practices • Work within Agile methodologies and ensure application security compliance

What You Bring
Basic qualifications include U.S. citizenship, residence in the United States, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 3‑5 years of Appian development (or 7 + years without a degree), hands‑on experience with Appian Designer, process models, interfaces, integrations, and strong analytical and communication skills. Preferred qualifications add advanced Appian features such as plug‑ins, connected systems, RPA, Appian certification, experience with other low‑code platforms, RESTful API integration, SQL database knowledge, and deeper Agile practice. • U.S. citizenship and residence in the United States required • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or 7+ years Appian experience without a degree • 3‑5 years of hands‑on Appian development experience • Proficient in Appian Designer, report/dashboard generation, and Appian configuration • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills • Experience with Appian plug‑ins, connected systems, and RPA (preferred) • Appian developer certification (preferred) • Familiarity with other low‑code platforms (preferred) • Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and external systems (preferred) • Knowledge of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases and data modeling (preferred)
