About the Role
Reporting to the Area Sales Director or their designee, this area‑level position drives efficiency improvements, profitable revenue growth, and provides comprehensive training and development for both Inside and Outside Sales Teams. The role combines work from home, in‑field training, and in‑office responsibilities, operating in a professional office environment when on site and regularly using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. • Design and deliver training programs on communication, active listening, objection handling, and consultative selling. • Conduct formal training sessions and informal coaching for inside and outside sales representatives. • Assess training needs and develop or enhance programs based on input from field and sales leadership. • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and make updates for improvement. • Provide structured feedback to sales reps and managers to support continuous improvement. • Maintain a training cadence that aligns with sales cycles and business priorities. • Facilitate workshops on negotiation, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.

What You Bring
The Sales Trainer for the Great Lakes Area (GLA) focuses on training and developing Senior Account Executives (outside sales) and Account Executives (inside sales) within Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, preferably near Detroit with headquarters in Plymouth, MI. The role requires at least 50% travel and allows for work-from-home days when not on the road or conducting in‑office visits. Because the position may require air travel or access to federal property, candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative. • Hold an accredited bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of relevant experience. • Possess a minimum of two years of direct business‑to‑business sales experience. • Preferably have two or more years of sales training experience. • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is preferred.
